Eli Terry & Sons Wooden Works Clock

Circa 1818 to 1824 "Double Decker" 30 hour long movement clock that keeps very accurate time.

This clock was purchased from Merritt's Antiques in Douglassville, PA in "as is" condition and restored by Duane in August of 2010.  Nothing else of the provenance of this clock is known.  The illustration on the glass is not original, nor is the pendulum bob.  The weights may or may not be original, as well as the winding crank.  The label is mostly readable but in poor condition.  The wooden dial has some chipping at the 3 & 9 positions and could be easily touched up, but looks quite nice otherwise.  The eagle and the pillars are stenciled.  It is a surprisingly accurate time keeper.  The case appears to be walnut with a very clean and original finish.  Its dimensions are approximately 35" tall, 17" wide, and 5" deep.

The asking price for this clock is $725, plus actual shipping costs.  If you have any questions or would like to see more photos, please click on the Contact Us tab at the top of the page to send an email, or call either phone number in the left margin of this page.
